Abstract
The phenomenon of coal gas outbursts, with its direct influence on preserving the safety of mining through tension alleviation and sustaining operational continuity, as well as the reliance on its quality for various concerns, warrants scrutiny during the planning phase. Consequently, accurately forecasting these sudden gas expulsions is a critical and primary measure in the initial design stage, continuing through the mining and extraction processes. Although the subject has been extensively researched, a complete model is lacking to predict the interrelated impacts of methane gasification and outbursts. Hence, considering its national significance and widespread adoption of this technique globally, it is imperative to investigate the dynamics of sudden gas discharge and drainage. For numerous years, across various research disciplines, experiments utilizing physical models have been conducted to explore and comprehend systems' behaviors and physical properties. A fundamental aspect of these models is the requirement that both the modeled system and the primary model abide by the same physical principles. In the study detailed within this document, following the recognition of critical parameters in the outburst process, a novel apparatus was constructed through dimensional analysis. Utilizing this specially designed laboratory equipment, the outburst emissions were assessed on two coal samples.
