Solvent extraction is one of the methods is used for concentration and purification of uranium from leach solution. The extraction of uranium from nitric acid solution is carried out by tri-butyl phosphate (TBP). In this study, the effect of concentrations of solvent and nitric acid, temperature and mixing time were investigated. Optimal conditions for solvent extraction of uranium by DBC obtained under 30% nitric acid, the organic phase containing 60% di-butyl carbitol, 20°C temperature and 4 mins mixing time. In these conditions the maximum extraction of uranium was 47% in one step and 52% in two steps.
