Geometrical analysis of Structures in Qaleh-Zari mine shear zone

Abstract

Major structural elements in Qaleh-Zari mine are faults, joins, veins and dikes that are located in 2 principles dextral shear zones. Trend of the main shear zone is N135 and it has recognized as the primary, Trend of another one that it's formed in secondary phases by continuation of dextral shear activity is N75.  In order of abundance, main fractures are in NW-SE, NE-SW, ESE trends, that they are according to dominant fault's trend in the area, and they are orderly parallel with Riedel and anti-Riedel and extension fractures. The structural elements are in two phases, and follow from shear zone geometry. Simultaneous with increase of shear strain, primary phase has rotated dextrally and then second phase has formed, therefore type of deformation in the area is non-coaxial.
