For this purpose, the phenomenon of arch action in geometrical and undercut slopes was reviewed briefly. It was confirmed that by excavation at the toe of an undercut slope, the load transfers from the central undercut part to the sides and results in load concentration in those areas. Therefore, by strengthening the load concentrated areas beside the undercut part, by counterweight balance, leads to more stable undercut slopes. Because the main focus of this research is on open mines where always a huge amount of waste rock is available which can be used as counterweight balance, the technique of counterweight balance is suggested as an appropriate technique for stabilizing undercut walls. Some advantages of using counterweight balance are reducing the risk of slope failure during operation as well as reducing the transportation cost of waste rock. The proposed technique was applied to the Mae-Moh lignite mine of Thailand as a case study. The shearing zone at the interface between under-burden layers at the northeast area has resulted in some slope stability problems from 1990 to 1996. In 1998 occurrence of a huge slope failure in this wall leads to a mining operation suspension in the area for about 10 years. Because of the huge size of the unstable area none of the common stabilizing methods such as anchoring or grouting were economically applicable. Finally in 2010 the technique of counterweight balance was accepted by authorities and applied to the unstable area through 2011 to 2013 successfully.  }, keywords = {Open pit mining,Arch action, Stabilizing undercut slopes,Counterweight balance}, title_fa = {پایدارسازی شیروانی های تحت حفاری با استفاده از بار تعادلی در معدن زغالسنگ ماء –موه تایلند}, abstract_fa = {هدف این تحقیق ارزیابی کارایی بار تعادلی در پایدارسازی شیروانی‌های تحت حفاری با پتانسیل لغزش صفحه‌ای در معادن روباز است. برای این منظور ابتدا پدیده قوس زدگی در مواد ژئوتکنیکی به‌طور اجمالی معرفی شده و امکان شکل‌گیری آن در شیروانی‌های تحت حفاری مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفته است. مطابق این پدیده با انجام حفاری در قسمت جلویی یک شیروانی، بار ناشی از وزن شیروانی به اطراف ناحیه حفاری شده منتقل شده و در نتیجه منجر به تمرکز تنش در آن نواحی می‌شود. بنابراین با تقویت نواحی تمرکز تنش می‌توان به پایدارسازی شیروانی تحت حفاری کمک کرد. با وجود در دسترس بودن حجم بالایی از سنگ باطله در معادن روباز که می‌تواند به عنوان بار تعادلی استفاده شود، در این تحقیق بار تعادلی به عنوان تکنیکی مناسب در تقویت نواحی تمرکز تنش شیروانی‌ها و در نتیجه افزایش پایداری آنها پیشنهاد شده است. از مزایای اصلی این تکنیک می‌توان علاوه بر کمک به پایدارسازی شیروانی‌های تحت حفاری، به کاهش هزینه معدنکاری به دلیل کاهش حجم باطله برداری و همچنین کاهش هزینه‌های باربری سنگ باطله اشاره کرد. به عنوان یک مطالعه موردی در این تحقیق، دیواره ناپایدار شمال شرقی کاواک معدن زغالسنگ ماء-موه در شمال کشور تایلند مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت. وجود یک لایه نازک رس در این دیواره منجر به وقوع یک سری لغزش صفحه‌ای طی سالهای 1990 تا 1996 شد تا اینکه در سال 1998 با وقوع یک لغزش خیلی بزرگ، عملیات استخراج در این دیواره به کلی به حالت تعلیق درآمد. به علت وسعت ناحیه مستعد لغزش، هیچ یک از روشهای معمول پایدارسازی از جمله مهاربندی یا تزریق از نظر اقتصادی توجیه پذیر نبود. بالاخره با ارائه تکنیک بار تعادلی در سال 2010 میلادی، این تکنیک مورد استقبال مسؤولین معدن قرار گرفت و طی سالهای 2011 تا 2013 با موفقیت در پایدارسازی دیواره ناپایدار به کار گرفته شد. }, keywords_fa = {معدنکاری روباز,پدیده قوس زدگی,پایدارسازی شیروانی های تحت حفاری,بار تعادلی}, url = {https://ijme.iranjournals.ir/article_14234.html}, eprint = {https://ijme.iranjournals.ir/article_14234_ebdf70e1911642e072f2762411b0110b.pdf} }
